School Uniform

Uniform

Our school uniform instils pride; encourages children to understand expectations and rules which in turn supports positive behaviour and encourages identity with, and support for our school ethos.

It ensures all pupils feel welcome and it protects children from social pressures to dress in a particular way.

It nurtures cohesion and promotes good relations between different groups of pupils.

The following uniform should be worn:

  • School trousers/shorts or school skirt or pinafore (black)
  • White shirt and school tie
  • Royal blue school jumper or cardigan (School logo optional)
  • Black school shoes (no  sports logo, no trainers, no boots)
  • During the summer months, children may choose to wear a blue and white checked dress.

PE Uniform

  • White T-shirt

  • Plain black shorts/plain black jogging bottoms or plain black leggings (no logos)

  • Trainers

  • Plain black jumper/ hoodie (no logos)

Long hair should be tied back with a dark hair grip and any hair bands should also be in a dark colour, with no large flowers or other accessories. No extreme hairstyles are allowed including mohicans, tramlines or shaved shapes.

Please note that the school operates a free, second-hand uniform shop (subject to availability). This means that when your child grows out of their uniform you may pop into school and change it for a larger size. We rely on our parents donating uniform that their children have outgrown and encourage all parents to make use of this money saving provision. If you have no clothing to donate then you're still welcome to take items.
