Welcome to Year 4

Our Year 4 Team

Teacher – Mr Dom Bazley

Teaching Assistants – Mrs Thomson

Hi, I’m Mr Bazley and I’ll be the Y4 class teacher this year.

Have a look around on our class page to see what fabulous things we’ll be getting up to this year, as well as lots of other things such as our Christmas activities, Easter competitions and annual Health and Wellbeing Week.

To keep updated with our learning please check out our class Twitter page and enjoy sharing our learning journey with us. 😊

Things to remember

  • Spellings and times tables will be sent home on a Friday through Microsoft Teams.
  • Remember to read 3 times a week and bring your book and reading diary in every day.
  • Pupils do not need to have a pencil case of their own in school. A book bag and packed lunch bag will suffice.
  • Children need to bring their own water bottles and take them home each day
  • Attendance at school is compulsory

PE

On Wednesdays your child has PE so they will need to come to school in their PE kit (No football kits, rugby kits) PE kit is black shorts with a white t shirt. A black tracksuit or leggings can be worn over this during the colder months.

Children need to wear trainers for outdoor PE and black pumps for indoor PE, however they can wear trainers on their PE day and keep pumps in their book bag for their lesson that day.

Ukulele Lessons

In year 4 we have a peripatetic music teacher that comes in to teach the children how to play the ukulele. They look at how to play the different individual notes, chords and they learn how to read music. They learn a wide range of songs across the year and it is a great way for the children to have the opportunity to begin learning an instrument.
