Refugee Week 2021

Our Giant Dolls House Project

As part of our work for Refugee Week we looked at how we are all different and have different backgrounds however our values and aspirations can still be similar. We looked at different refugees from around the world and the different situations that they have to deal with. We celebrated what we found out by building a giant dolls house full of hope and aspirations for the future.

Activites around school

During our refugee week in school each class looked at famous refugees from history and found out about why they were famous and the impact that they had on our lives today. We all took part in producing sections for our Giant Doll’s House project and we finished off the week by celebrating the life of Judith Kerr. We looked at some of the books that she wrote and had an afternoon tea in honour of ‘The Tiger that Came to Tea’.
