Winter

We created a ‘winter wonder land cafe’ in the role play area. The children made biscuits using salt dough, we used pink and white pom poms for marshmallows and the children pretended to serve ‘hot chocolate’. Of course we drank real hot chocolate first so we knew exactly what it tasted like! The children decorated snowflakes using lots of glitter and all things shiny. We discussed which animals live in cold places and put small toy animals into water and froze them. The children used tools to try to retrieve the animals from the ice, some children even suggested using ‘hot water’ to melt the ice.
