Nursery Rhyme – Humpty Dumpty

First we investigated a crime scene using magnifying glasses to look at the clues to what our Nursery Rhyme of the week could be. The children used their ‘magic writing’ to record their findings. We sang the rhyme and used musical instruments to play the beat. The children enjoyed creating their own ‘Humpty Dumpty’ walls using ‘junk modelling’. We made ‘tall’ and ‘short’ walls using large blocks and touch counted how many blocks we used altogether. We discussed which animals lay eggs and created our very own small world area with lots of different eggs for the children to explore.
