Core Experiences in the Wider World

Young children need to have lots of real-life experiences to help them learn and make sense of the world.  We make sure children have the opportunity to experience as many ‘core experiences’ as possible: a birthday party, washing the dishes, walking in the woods, building a den, baking, flying a kite, jumping in puddles so that they make lots of memories together!  We talk about how people live in different families, different towns and different countries and how their lives, languages and celebrations might be similar or different to our own.  We show the children that there’s a wonderful world out there waiting to be discovered and explored!
